I applied the .edu email in the amazon account of my cousin, and placed an order (usb stick), and works perfectly.
You can get a free-amazon-prime subscription, and a big % of disscount after that, as student.
I used the email in other webpages, without issues.
I noticed what the .edu email is "fresh", not a cracked/hacked one.
And the price is fine, just $3 usd.
