When you write someone a check, you can't put down "50 USD worth of CAD".

Same with bitcoin. It is its own currency.

This would require the client developers officially endorsing an exchange. Which they probably don't want to do. Maybe if the exchange put out a client, this would happen. Or you can develop something to grab prices from the API and spearhead the development of an alternate client.

just today i sold some coins, face to face. before the final amount of bitcoins to be sent we had to figure out the exchange for canada, and then the bitcoin rate...it would just be easier if it was there, and its not the same as a check...if a pizza cost 1 coin yesterday, and its still one coin...wow, better be a great pizza...

I really wish that the sender could attach a message
to the payment. It would be great to know where donations are coming from. It would be great to get a personal message along with the transaction.

In the future, I guess. The way that Bitcoin is growing , it doesn't seem like it'll be too long...

Messages would have to be included in the block chain to reliably reach the recipient.

It would be nice if the client had an unreliable stream of recent messages attached to transactions. Bandwidth is cheaper than block chain space.
