Who is Satoshi
|
|
|
|
|

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Who is Satoshi
(Almost) nobody knows who is the creator of bitcoin, but whoever created it is making lots of money for sure.

No one from the voting options. Only Satoshi knows who or what he is. We can only use our imagination and speculate on who might be him or her. Just forget about it.

I'd say none of the possibilities above. You should list this option. By doing so, you would see tha many people think like me.

None of the above. Keyser Söze
At this point, what possible reason would Satoshi feel the need to reveal his identity? Maybe 100 years from now one of his descendants will sign something from his wallet(s).

I think satoshi is still with us but it's not possible to guess who he is and how he keep supporting bitcoin and if u ask me, the chance he can be a featured devoloper on core or something else. I don't believe that he keeps his role on foreground

I can't vote for a group of these... maybe Satoshi is a group of people?

It's probably neither of them. Personally I don't really care nor do I think it'd be a good idea for his identity to be known. Likely only really bad things can come of it as he will be scrutinized and attacked by the media. If he wants to be known at some point he shall surely reveal himself but if he doesn't then I hope he remains anon and isn't exposed against his will.

i'm also inclined to believe that he is the head of a group of coders, he is the designer, the other coded the thing, i remember he admitted that he didn't do all the work himself

I agree, that's the only option. OP can you add Marlyn Monroe to the list?

Among the options given, I think that the one that makes more sense is he being Gavin Andersen.
It looks like Gavin knows who satoshi is at least, and the fact that many are interestind in knowing who satoshi is, and haven't managed to get that info from gavin... has some weight in the theory that he may be him.
But do not really know.

I don't feel satoshi is Gavin after the XT crap, we will never know if it was Hal so that leads me to vote fo Nick. But I agree with most here, I see it being someone(s) else.

This, it's obvious Gavin is not satoshi. Nick is still my favorite guy to be satoshi, guy is just a genius, and didn't care about cameras until recently. Even if Gavin WAS satoshi, he would be wrong about his own creation after the BIP101 nonsense.

Op you probably should add some positions to the poll, such as: 'some unknown guy' or 'we will never know' etc. This poll is meaningless speculation anyway, all I know is that Dr. Wright is DEFINITELY not Satoshi, he is fame hungry individual, backed by nothing but fake evidence.
