just checked for replies to my post today and I found one missing with no deletion message. the thread is still there (moved to meta, locked, and about 3 posts above mine were also deleted). I thought we always get a message when our post got deleted?

Can you show the link to the thread?
Just speculating but it might be due to the forum downtime(nginx error), that was occurring nearly every hour, for me.

I think your post have not been deleted but only 'moved' in the trashcan section (I suppose).
