I submitted a coinrequest at PoloniEx Smiley

https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

Especially this part makes Radium suitable for PoloniEx:

Quote
If this coin has any significant innovations over other coins, please elaborate on them here.

Done this as well. Poloniex is one of the few exchanges I like to trade on. Hopefully they'll accept it soon enough.

In case anyone else wants to ask Poloniex to accept Radium, you can fill in a coin request here: https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

Website looks great!

Coin request complete on Polo.

"Username - Address linking
User accounts are created when an Radium address is paired with a Radon username and an optional memo line, and the pairing is recorded in the blockchain. Usernames and memos can consist of any combination of English upper and lower case letters and numbers. Once a username is recorded in the blockchain, the username can be used in the SmartChain client instead of the difficult to remember address."

I feel like this enough to make it on any exchange as well as push cryptos into the main stream media and beyond.

There is real, tangible function here - as well as ease of use.

Maybe we can get Coinbase to accept it Smiley

I think this needs to be updated to reflect the current full features of the smartchain.  setting up your address/username with a memo about yourself is nothign compared to the recent addition of:
Proof of Existence: Text Notes.
Users who have created user accounts will be able to record text notes in the blockchain to serve as proof of existence. All notes recorded in the blockchain will be available to anyone who wishes to read or verify them.
Proof of Existence: File Hashing + Verification
In client file hashing slows a user to record a any file hash in blockchain with title/memo. This provides Proof-Of-Existence for that file, which can also be easily verified from withing the SmartChain client. Users can check any file for Proof-Of-Existence with just a few easy clicks.

the phase 2 release of the smartchain client that runs on top of the radium chain and uses radon tokens has added these 2 features. Storing file hashes in the radium chain and being able to verify a file's hash is basically the feature that factom provides with the difference that factom stores the file hashes on the bitcoin blockchain. meanwhile storing longer text notes in the chain is something i havent seen yet in a coin (someone correct me if im wrong) and allows you to post as much text as you want (limiting factor is i think the 20 MB blocksize max) where increased space required to store the text costs increasingly more radon tokens.

Do you need more information about the coin and it's smartchain? Or more information about the "dumps." Where do you see the price at 1011 or 3100, it's about 10,000 on ccex and bittrex. Look at the 1 year chart on c-cex and answer your own dump question. The coin went from under 20,000USD market cap to over 200,000USD in days. I'd love the price to have stayed stable over 25k Satoshi too but people were buying this coin for under 1000 Satoshi for the majority of its life. Until 3 weeks ago. So as I've said before if your question is about pumps and dumps, zero people have the answer. And if they do their to rich to answer questions on Bitcoin talk. If you want to know more about the coin feel free to ask. Basically devs Tm and Jj worked hard the last year without paying much attention to the BCT thread as there wasn't anything notable. About 2 months ago slack picked up speed and info was put out in the old thread. Within 1 month there was the smartchain and in the past week, smartchain phase 2. Phase 2 allows factom style document hashing recording and verification in a super simple GUI with the exception that the hashs are all stored on the Radium block chain not BTC. It also allows on chain text notes of any size (under 20MB) to be encoded into the Radium blockchain at a cost of 1 radon per 20 bytes to be stored. Along with all the supporting features to manage aliases on the smartchain, send/receive Radon asset tokens via username, send/receive Radium via username, and the decay style mining which creates the Radon asset token while increasing the POS reward for Radium stakers who solve a block in which radon was created. Radium is now low under 20% inflation where the velocity of radon being created could greatly increase the yearly stake % without increasing the coins overall inflation (as coins are redistributed for radon creation from the Radon generator going to the radium stake block solver) and stakes still get the current and planned 1 coin per block reward + any decay from radium creating radon in that block.

Ok I have read through the whole thread and still have one simple question:

Isn't everything that Radium does also possible with the Bitcoin Blockchain?

Why does it have to be a fancy self created "Smartchain"?

Thanks. I already read the smart chain thread before but still could not grasp why this would not work to build on top of the original blockchain.

Would appreciate an explanation.
Well as a simple answer, its closed source and wasn't built for the bitcoin chain.. im sure it could be modified to work on top of bitcoin, but there would be serious drawbacks. JJ and TM chose to create this ecosystem and thats why the smartchain is on top of the radium blockchain.

As a list of the top of my head the advantages and disadvantages of putting the Smartchain on top of bitcoin would be:
Advantage - Correct me if I'm wrong, Factom I believe uses Bitcoins OPReturn to store hashes. A Smartchain on BTC could operate the same way as the hash meets the 80 byte space available from OPReturn.
Disadvantage - Im guessing Radium's OPReturn is huge sized to fit Smartchain text notes, though Im not sure the exact mechanism. At this time it costs 1 Radon token to store 20 bytes. Obviously its cost prohibitive to store the entire War & Peace novel but theres limited space on Bitcoins blockchain where as Radiums blockchain has 20 MB blocks allowing for serious growth to happen before any revisiting of the code would need to happen. With Bitcoin already being choked just on tx data, Im not sure how fond people would be of having to store other peoples text data (proof of existence.)
Disadvantage - As the storing of text notes or file hashes for verification comes with a one time RADON token fee, if the Smartchain was built on bitcoin, the fees paid out to create RADON and to spend it would be given out to the large Bitcoin miners as Bitcoin, instead of the POS network contributors. Since anyone holding coins with an open wallet can contribute and be rewarded I feel like its an incentive to use something like this or similar. Everyone has the chance to participate, and trade some storage and bandwidth for rewards. Just running a bitcoin node does not offer this (I know, I run one. and even at setgenerate 1 it does not pay shit!)

So to recap, while the smartchain likely could be adapted to parse usernames and address linkage along with the factom like file hash storage and verification on top of bitcoin's network the Radium blockchain was adapted to fit these features easier than Bitcoins existing tx situation. Meanwhile anyone can be rewarded for holding coins and contributing to the network (by storing the chain) through POS rewards, but also with rewards in a POS block they solve which include Radium used to decay Radon, and again when Radon is used as a fee to use a Smartchain utility.

Also its been mentioned just like factom wants to allow hashing onto Ethereum, the Smartchain here in the future (not immediately) would like to be able to store at least proof of existance file hashes and verification on other blockchains as well.

Sorry I typed this quick and am out the door, if anythings blatantly wrong apologies in advance.
