Since DiabloD3 (AKA, the mod with an agenda) decided to lock down the only BFL thread we are allowed to speak in, I started another.

I am still confident BFL will be the first to deliver, personally.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

From my mostly unbiased viewpoint... (I don't have any ASIC pre-orders)

It is too close to tell and could either be Avalon, Basic, or BFL.... in that order IMO. But, it wouldn't surprise me to see any of those 3 be first.

PS:

I took DiabloD3's advice from the main thread and cooled down at the pool. I even took a pic:

Is 48 hours up yet? Lately, I've lost all concept of time.

Diablo did the right thing, and it was by request. I even PM'ed him stating such, but his timing sucked, for I was about to present a pic of Josh getting ready to walk his poodle in Overland Park.

Why does it not surprise me that PG has an image like that?  Was that from your personal collection, Bruno?

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Too bad it'll be short lived, for the main one is no longer locked.

Did you know that a new butterfly museum opened up last week? http://www.northjersey.com/news/184098671_Butterfly_museum_readying_for_grand_opening_in_Teaneck.html

Must have been 48 hours in Bitcoin time.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.
