Have a look at what spells of genesis is doing for some inspiration. It's the most mature Bitcoin based implementation  I'm aware of.

Also, Tokenly on GitHub provides a suite of tools enabling Bitcoin based tokenisation / gamification. Rewards/assets can be traded on centralised or decentralised exchanges p2p after being acquired in-game.

Coinprism is a nice implementation for a wallet. I'm not aware of an exchanged based on it, but I'm working on one.

You're welcome. Another implementation of meta-tokens being used in a game can be found in the iOS app SaruTobi [1] , [2]
it's fairly easy to setup using the indiesquare tools. [3].  You can view the distribution of the token here [4] , [5]
If you need help integrating tokens into your project, or for further inspiration you can find the community here: https://counterparty.slack.com/messages/indiesquare-wallet/

so is there a ColoredCoin exchange yes/no, and which protocols does it follow? I haven't seen one. I know XCP and NXT as asset exchanges, and these assets are listed on coinmarketcap. if someone wants to some work in this area please let me know (coding, testing, ...).

This mentioned exchange is down and the coinprism board is not active.

It seems like it. It is surprising there has been no interest in this yet. XCP and NXT do they trading on-chain. ColoredCoins would allow trading on central exchanges with high transaction times. There are likely other potential uses cases.

Nxt Framework has colored coins feature integrated. It is called MSCoin. It is really easy to create a own colored coin what is mineable and secured by the Nxt framework.

If you are interested, read this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=929548.0

Further, there are other frameworks like Counterparty where colored coins can be created.
