there's no monetary prize, but if Anne Connelly wins, they have to let her talk about Bitcoin on their mainstream publication. You don't have to be Canadian to vote--just help us pull it off!

You can vote here. more information is here.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Count me in as well. The more publicity Bitcoin gets the more price increase (hopefully) we could see soon plus it will help become mainstream faster and gets accepted in more businesses worldwide.

ELI NC (explain like im not canadian)

who is Anne Connelly

and by this i dont want a lowdown on her professional career prior to anything bitcoin. or what pets or family she has. or even what school/college stuff she done.. just explain in basic terms what she has actually done for bitcoin.

if she has done alot to expand bitcoin.. rather then just turn up to meetings of people already involved with bitcoin.. ill vote.

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.

She made Dignitas International accept Bitcoin. Dignitas is a world-class non-profit that not only fights disease in Africa, but analyzes their findings to produce actual research papers that improve future efforts to do so. Their Bitcoin page is a bit cheesy, but it's still a win: http://dignitasinternational.org/give/bitcoin/

I've given my vote to Anne Connelly, hoping to see that she wins and gets an opportunity to present about Bitcoin. I've also shared the same on my social networks.

Anything for Bitcoin and if it can change the world or Africa for that matter, even better... Anne Connelly has my vote. We need MORE positive things like this for Bitcoin now. All

this negative things, true or false .... is getting depressing and boring now. I kind of like the "decentralized HIV treatment" initiative and that they accepting Bitcoin donations.

Let's support Anne and vote for her..... or take it to the social media and make it viral. {excuse the pun}  Grin
