Ok so I was trying to distribute bitcoins over multiple wallets to backup and I sent 100 coins to a new walled I created. They didn't show up so I sent 1 coin to the same address and that showed up instantly. What happened to my 100 bitcoins?

I sent it from the mac client to the windows one and you can see in the mac one that the 1btc was sent to the same address as the earlier 100 bitcoin (100.01 debited because of the transaction fee) but it hasn't shown up.

What is going on? Have I lost my coins. If I have bitcoin can't be relied upon for anything. Sorry if the images show up really large I included the links as well.

It appears that transaction isn't being broadcast to the network. Let's get you some more connections.

First, quit out of Bitcoin on the Mac. Then open Terminal and enter these commands:
Code:
cd /Applications/
Code:
Bitcoin.app/contents/macos/bitcoin -addnode=69.164.218.197 -addnode=64.22.103.150 -addnode=173.242.112.53 -addnode=178.79.147.99 -addnode=184.106.111.41 -addnode=91.85.220.84 -addnode=173.224.125.222 -addnode=86.5.50.90

Ok, with this and DataSpree on otc's help (who suggested putting the windows machine ip address as one of the addnode things) the transaction has finally shown up on windows. It's unconfirmed still but once it goes through I'll send you both a coin. Thanks.

Thanks! I wish I would have had a chance to see your earlier reply, since that would have been my next suggestion. Failing that, I would have had you connect to me directly, since my node is currently underutilized with just 23 connections.

Just bought my first BitCoin!
Unfortunately I am having the same problem
I ran the lines in terminal, but I don't have the IP for the other computer to add, since I am getting the BitCoins from BitMarket.eu
I had about 3 connections before I closed BitCoin and have 3 right now a few minutes after running it.
It was sent from the BitMarket address to my personal address 40 minutes ago and BitMarket claims the transaction has been confirmed. Still hasn't showed up in BitCoin.
Thoughts?

Try some other fallback nodes

I added every single fallback node with the terminal command.
Took a few minutes, but my connections gradually went up to 14!
Unfortunately, I still don't have the transaction in BitCoin, and its been a while since  it used the terminal thing, and almost 2 hours since I sent the coins to myself.
I thought this BitCoin business was supposed to be almost instant?

I also checked the obvious things already like making sure I pasted my address into the website correctly, and that the withdrawal was listed on the BitMarket site.

Has your client downloaded the blockchain?

Have you figured out what's going on with the missing 100BTC? It looks like just after the 1FK... address received 100BTC, you sent 100BTC from the 1Fk... block to another address (1Asx...):

As far as I can see, he did receive the 100 BTC that were lost on original post. They just took 2 hours to be stored in a block while the 1BTC he sent a few minutes later to test were stored rapidly.

- 100BTC sent from wallet at 05H36, put in a block at 07H39.
- 1BTC sent from wallet at 05H57, put in a block at 05H59.

Each TX had 0.01 Fee.

Yeah, I got them eventually, I don't think I had enough connections.
