I think the blockade of the exchange is to prevent the continued decline of the rouble

I doubt it will have much effect. Although if that is the case, what a compliment to BTC.

First, Russians re going to find a way. They always do. Second, even if they didnt, it s up to every country to embrace or not innovations. If they want to stay behind, so be it.

This is the thing .... When you centralize Bitcoin {Using exchanges} ... you give governments a centralized target to attack. Yes, agreed... it will be more difficult to trade and

transact without exchanges, but we must find a way to bypass these centralized third-party services. There are person2person trading on Localbitcoin, but that can be targeted

too. The goal is not to sabotage governments, but if they operate unethically like the Russians are doing now, you would still have other options. That is, if this information is

legit...  Roll Eyes

Is Localbitcoins popular in Russia? But I don't think the Russians will want to exchange their coins for rubles probably for more stable currency like dollars or euros.

Bitcoin was never really too big in Russia so I don't think that this will really effect Bitcoin.

thye forgot that you don't really need an exchange to exchange your coins, you know, at best they can hinder quite well the aodption of bitcoin, there in russia non in other country for sure

now russia population is only 143M, and a big portion of that don't even know what bitcoin is, therefore even without them bitcoin can reach adoption

actually bitcoin can reach adoption with china only, if you think about it...
