Firstly,
Comments on yours :-
1) great merchant to adopt bitcoin just-eat.com -
Really agree with this one, I've thought the same myself 3) to list all the PR video's/ professional tutorials -
We need more material, googling bitcoin isn't helpful (lets be honest - bitcoin is going to be very hard for some people to get there head around, more videos etc need to be produced - anyone working on anything? 5) no mention of silk road/propaganda - keep it professional and legitimate to gain bitcoin credibility -
completely, I'm getting sick of bitcoin being touted as the drug currency, its giving it a bad name, one that people dismiss straight away because of this link, I've also seen Anonymous and hackers mentioned to many times when dealing with the "general public", as you say people need to be professional when dealing with other professionals.I'd add into the mix,
1) TV Adverts - crowd fund a bitcoin advert on TV (I'm in the UK so am thinking the UK market, but why not anywhere?) once some of the other stuff is sorted out, this would really be one of the more final things perhaps.
2) Arrange local meetups with local merchants, demo's etc - the material that im sure will be created can act as the glue that holds all the demo's together so people all get the same view of bitcoin.
3) Perhaps we (I saw "we" lol) could put together business cases for the larger merchants, ie if we can show them there are savings to be had and little setup cost = win!
4) Judging by how well square have been doing of late with small merchants, I'd say do this - go for the market traders etc, organize meetings with entire markets.
5) I think people need to start telling people to sit down before they tell them about bitcoin
- might come as a shock to some
