I've seen a lot of predictions whether the price will go down and up and all the supporting details about the speculations are provided after(later). Is there a place/website to get ahead of time before things actually happen? its not like usd/eur that there are financial news or simply the non farm payroll or ecb.  so where do they get the info?

I've bookmarked them months ago. but just curious to see if someone also suspects these sources have their own motives when writing blog entries.

Unlike fiat currencies that are been affected by country policies that lead to fundamental analysis bitcoin operate in that form by press release about development, invention and acceptance which can be read at coindesk, cointelegraph and reddit.

some threads are indeed very informational to read through, but there is way too much spam and trolls trying to derail the treads. especially the wall observer thread. some times it looks like a war zone instead of a normal thread where people share their analysis and such.

I don't see how press releases affect how inflation goes. lately Tesla was in the bitcoin news due to the bitcoin they bought but it seem like the price stays the same. Don't you think it now all depends to the big whales and Chinese?

Honestly speaking, there is no need to look for places if you know how to play your cards right. There is no better reference to trading better than your own assumptions.Experience matters a lot.Simply check out the rates of btc on coinbase, study the fluctuations and design your own patterns.Keep an eye on market news such as https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-analysis/ so that you're updated with the latest happenings. You can always use http://www.coindesk.com/ to get more visual representations of the data such as pie charts. If you study all these thoroughly you should be able to "predict" the correct time to trade.

I am sorry to say that Tesla is not a good example because the coin is yet to have maximum exposure and if they can buy that volume of btc again and again that might have positive effect on Tesla price.
I agreed with you that Whales have effects on the price of bitcoin but dont under rate press release also because the price of btc got to $300 because G2A added it to their payment.

I agree with this mostly.  Bitcoin is global, so I don't think one country's actions will affect it all that much, unless it's China.  I don't think fundamental analysis can be done with bitcoin, and I've said this in other threads in the past.  Bitcoin doesn't have earnings and doesn't pay a dividend like a stock, or pay interest like a bond.  It's kind of like gold and silver, except FA can be done with metals because they get used and you have mining data and such.  Bitcoin is strange.

Press releases can be just hype.

Indeed press releases are just hype. The halving seem to have a good effect to which the price they say will go up but then they say the debate about the blocksize can also depreciate.

Best to research on your own and then decide what is best for you!
Best place so far is Bitcoinwisdom and Bitcointalk for information and speculations.

To add to what has already been said :

a) I like to study the market depth via Poloniex. Sometimes it can help.

b) I also follow bitcoin personnalities on twitter or so. They are often quicker in relaying some news than Coindesk and so  Cheesy

If you are talking about the effect of news on BTC, then I would say that I really don't believe that any such news affects the price of BTC on charts...
It has been pure manipulation mostly and for no reasons we have seen spikes and dumps...

Anyways, check out the links below, these might answer your queries...

I don't think it's worth paying attention to what many or any people think will happen. They're just as much in the dark as anyone else apart from the very occasional insider. Even then the only time news has an effect on things is if it's perceived to be a full on disaster such as China bans and Gox dying. You could head over to reddit and look at r/bitcoinmarkets. That's entirely focused on Bitcoin trading and nothing but.

Not really, there a some Twitter accounts which give recommendations about BTC price development but it is nothing professional in my opinion.
You could do your own analysis by using https://bitcoinwisdom.com for example. The site offers a bunch of tools for technical analysis.

I've seen a lot of predictions whether the price will go down and up and all the supporting details about the speculations are provided after(later). Is there a place/website to get ahead of time before things actually happen? its not like usd/eur that there are financial news or simply the non farm payroll or ecb.  so where do they get the info?

I guess it depends on what you consider a fundamental data for the bitcoin market.

As you you have pointed out, there is no central bank for the bitcoin, which makes announcements on the interest rates, etc.
Possibly, the more integrated the bitcoin will be with the financial markets, the more impact the fundamental economic news and events will have on the bitcoin price.

In regards to BTC, there are mostly pumps or dumps that either Chinese or other whales do when they are in the mood of pressing wrong buttons...
It's like people buy and sell which gives it a pattern looking fundamentally progressive or depressive based on where the markets are moving...
