The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

OP's link is posting an article dated today from one that was originally made back in 2013 when the litecoin price was over $8 a piece. So, these miners are likely already out since it feels like 2013 was over a decade ago. Cheesy
