Hello everyone,

Like to introduce my beta project SwiftBitcoins.

What is SwiftBitcoins ?

We want to be a "live help" answering system for the Bitcoin ecosystem. The thinking is to provide real-time answers to questions you may have regarding anything related to Bitcoins.

Do you charge?

Nope. It is free to ask questions. The we hope to monetize it via sponsorships via Bitcoin related services and paid recommendations.

Give it a go! even if you just want to chat!  Grin

oh....and Happy New Year!

edit: just opened for an hour or two for testing w/ questions so far everyone has good one's!  the goal is to be open 8 hours a day during a set time.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I was going to check out your services, and it appears the link is dead.

Edit: Try this for your link - http://www.swiftbitcoins.com/

You are missing the ":" in your link.

Looks good, I'll make an inquiry here in a minute.

-EDIT-

The inquiry I made was:

Quote

Operator BitcoinHelp enters the chat
7:50 PM

ME: My question today is what should I put into a machine, to be the best for Mining and Gaming?
7:51 PM

I including some more information, such as budget and other capabilities.

To which the reply was...

Quote
OPERATOR: Yes, trying to figure out how best to answer it because its an interesting question.
7:56 PM

I realize the question was a "tough one," but that was the point. What could they tell me about building a rig for light mining and gaming. Nothing in a short amount of time, but that's not a bad thing. I'm sure as time goes by, they'll have an answer.

I changed it up with this next part...

Quote
ME: Sir/Ma'am, don't worry about my question.
Tell me what you would tell a beginner (for Mining) if they came in here.
Where would they get the programs necessary to mine.
7:58 PM

OPERATOR: Ok, no problem. Best is to start with is try this: http://startbitcoin.com/
7:59 PM

ME: Thanks, that will do for my Inquiry ~ Pez
8:00 PM

Simple questions, such as the one I asked, was answered very quickly. I rate the service, starting out, a 3 out of 5 stars. You are truly talking with someone 1 on 1, and it's a good thing for those who are lazy and looking for someone to help you for free. FREE! Yes, it was free.

You just go to the website, enter a name and email, and then you are connected to an operator. Not bad if you have a quick question.

Thanks Pezikrypt for the thorough review of the service!

Keep in mind this was a test of the system so the answers will be more fine tuned & tailored to your specific inquiry and will get better over time. As some tested my knowledge of what "Bitcoins are" even you know who you are!  Tongue

The goal is to give you that quick answer to questions for the lazy type. But the bigger goal is to point you to the proper area and not to scammy sites and give you a little history regarding specific sites if you do choose to go down that road.

More to come. Thanks!

Forgot to say I was handling 4 different chats at the same time also!

I like giving my honest opinion/review of things, and how to possibly improve it.

For example, having an "End Chat" button would be better than having to close the window. I'd like to review the chat without wasting the operator's time by having an open chat up.

Other than that, like I said, it'll get better. Smiley
