No it's not. This is Bitcoin related. Far superior tech replacing your precious BTC.

Don't keep all your coins in one basket. It's good to diversify and support both Bitcoin and Ethereum.

This is a discussion about another useless coin. This is not related to Bitcoin (making a price comparison != related to Bitcoin/B. Discussion).

Not really.

So you don't believe in diversified portfolios?

Good luck with that.

Nice jump by ETH but that means nothing. Ripple's marketcap was at ~$754 mil at one point but that didn't last too long:

Well, that really does not mean anything! it's so easy to manipulate altcoins values! If btc prices are already subjected to pump & dumps, with a huge market cap (comparing to alts), imagine the power of a big mining farm or MMN sort-of-thing to manipulate alts...

You spelled speculation wrong.

It's not about superior tech it's people investing believing Ethereum will be widely used in the future.

I believe you when this situation lasted for a couple of months at least.
ETH is a new altcoin with a hot entrance and a lot of advertising, so it is normal that it is being pumped.
only if in there were not a massive dump on the way.

Interesting, that's a sweet bump in price there for Ethereum, but still a very long way to go before it catches the Bitcoins price. I was reading about Ethereum but it involved having to download a lot of tools to get started.

Can't see through that screenshot why ETH is coming for Bitcoin. Either way, I respect the "eggs in many baskets" philosophy but this thread is on the wrong section and should be moved.

There is an ongoing ETH pump since last week (after some news about a banking consortium what want to test it). Even if ETH can hold this position it's still pretty far behind bitcoin in both recognition and price. Maybe in a few years it can challenge bitcoin but certainly not now.

Ofcourse this is a pump and dump. They don't even have a functional user friendly wallet yet.

Ethereum is promising, that I give you, but this one smells like pump all around. Wonder how high it goes before it comes crashing down.

Maybe ill pick up a few ether after the crash.

EDIT: There are some serious pumping bots going at it. Walls placed and retracted, as well as constant volume creation.

no altcoin will ever dream to reach 0.03-0.05, wake me when this will happen, ah this not for few day or week, but as a permanent new value

i believe ethereum can stabilize around the usual 0.01-0.02 like litecoin was, no more...also the marketcap is 1/30 of that of bitcoin

Naaah, I will still use bitcoin for now. Ethereum is too new to be stable.

When Ethereum become stable then I'll consider switching.

So these guys are the people spamming the Reddit accounts in a desperate race to compete with Bitcoin? ETH has a long way to go to be in the same

room with Bitcoin. At least we do not have to team up with banks {the official competition for Crypto currencies} to get to the top. I know many

women who did the same {slept their way to the top} and lost all respect from the people they worked with. We are the legacy we left behind.
