He probably trust the community and bitcoin developers to make the right decision , because if he didn't then he would come out . Or maybe he simply don't care anymore . (Or he is dead)

This. He decided to move on and leave the development to others.

It therefore doesn't matter what his opinion would be. Besides, who says he always has the right opinion? Maybe a different solution would be more beneficial.

This is really a dumb question to be asked.How would it matter anyway ? He has left the development since a long time now,just an assumption,as the above linked post convey's,he would not really be surprised and could be willing to impart any change that will make things better.
