This is an ASIC created for bitcoin mining.  One of these hashes at about half the level of what an AMD 7970 does:

Under ASICMiner’s business plan they do the mining for you in their own facilities with their own staff.  [and pay mining proceeds to shareholders of ASICMINER]

most are delayed, and generally the promises of companies are being scrutinized very closely (and should be taken with a grain of salt)

ASICs are the proverbial upgrade from a pickaxe to a bulldozer in terms of mining speeds. I want to get into mining, but its sounding like GPU mining wont reach ROI, so im waiting for whoever first demonstrates working ASIC units

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!
