As the title says, today is IPv6 day, but not for the mainline client.

I'm happy to announce that (theoretically) Mike's bitcoinj and my BitDroidNetwork are in fact IPv6 compatible, the only thing that's missing is the IPv6 address format in the addr messages and we're ready to go Cheesy

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

luke-jr has an IPv6 patch, I believe?
