Unconfirmed bitcoins?

hi, im new to bitcoins and i have just purchased 0.02BTC and it says in my wallet that theyre pending and unconfirmed

how long will it be before i get my bitcoins?

transaction confirmation time depende on various reasons, time of miners finding a block at first ofcourse but usually a delay can be caused by unconfirmed inputs which means you recieved a coins which is from an unconfirmed transaction too, low transaction fees sometimes can delay a confirmation time too just be sure to pay atleast 10k satoshi for every 1KB of transaction size and the current network load of unconfirmed transactions

Confirmations happen every 10 minutes on average but there is variation.  I remember waiting half an hour for a confirmation at one time and yet other times I have seen two confirmations within 2 minutes.    You can see when a block is confirmed here

10 min is just the average, sometimes takes longer for bad luck or because there are just too many transactions, just wait and your transaction will be confirmed if you paid the fee

better to send always with the standard fee around 10k satoshi, otherwise you can try your luck with 1k satoshi, it was working good for me, until i used that fee for a micro payment  less than0.01

for the already unconfirmed tx i have set a 10k satoshi, and the network propagation is 0%, so it didn't work. and yes, it's a little bit under 0.009 btc.
what will happen if will not be accepted by miners? and when? is there a time limit for tx to wait?

for a new similar tx do i have to set a 50k satoshi in order to be sure? if i use a sending Blockchain wallet is there available a "dynamic fee" option like for Electrum wallet? anyway, i suppose there is a formula to be applied, not a "question to miners / answer from them"?

Once you process a transaction, it can take a long time or a short time but as stated above it's around 10 min. Usually it sends because that's when miners find a block. Once you send a transaction, it can not be undone and it will be sent once the next block is found. Usually it arrives after the block is found but if you don't include a miners fee of 0.0001 then you might have to wait alittle longer.

i put the fee as 0.0001 btc and still 0% propagation. it's acceptable even i lose these coins. the idea is to learn for future.

i found a formula: [no of inputs] x 148 + [no of outputs] x 68 +10 = [no of satoshi as fee].
in my case means 12,066 satoshi, and if i' knew it, i'd have put 20k satoshi, but is this enough?
is this formula generally applicable? if yes, how may i see the number of inputs before to set the fee?

the second issue: maybe after a period the tx will be refused by the network. will return the sent coins, or they are for ever gone? if will return, when?

With so many inputs the transaction will be pretty high. It might be that the suggested fee is even higher than 10k satoshies. To be sure cocorico, you should use a wallet that allows you to suggest a fee. Then it is easier to find the amount of fee that would work.

there is not specific amount to pay as fees for sending a transaction. Nowadays, I think sending 0.0001 btc is enough or 0.0002 btc if you want miners confirm the transaction faster

I can tell you that a day ago i wanted to send a transaction with 10 inputs and three outputs. The suggested fee was 0.00016017 bitcoins.

I don't know how it changes the suggested fee with having more than one output address. I sent all coins, by the way, when you send some coins away from an address so that some coins remain in there, then you would have 2 output addresses too.

I find it strange since some time that no one generated a calculator online for this. Specifying the amount of inputs and outputs and getting a rough estimate for the suggested fee. Should be relatively easy with bitcoin core running on that server.

it depends on numerous situations, but usually 10 mins average. Sometimes less sometimes more, but if it is legit, will always go thru.
