MULTIBIT HD what the f, way too complicated

I have reinstall LINUX MINT latest version and then

1 MULTIBITHD
2 MULTIBIT CLASSIC 0.5.19
3 MULTIDOGE

In an attempt to collect coins and from a new start. I can buy coins via Coinmama once a month, and can withdraw 0.0013 BTC or 1300 DOGE (now that the price has skyrocketed ,used to have 3000) from my mining activity.

My question is , I can get around via MULTIBIT CLASSIC very well as I have used it from long time in my other PC. So I can with MULTIDOGE as is basically the same.

I checked last MULTIBIT HD, and its security is absolutely BRILLIANT, but I can't check my fixed receiving address, everytime I got a new one, also I cannot see my sending address?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I read the help section of it (only the part SENDING/RECEIVING) as that is what I am interested, so I need a bit of help, any step by step guide is greatly appreciated.

It shows you a new address every time because it is designed to discourage address reuse. You can still reuse the same address every time if you want. There is no list of addresses though.

There is no such thing as a "sending addresses". Bitcoins come from transactions not from addresses, blockchain explorers show an address for the transaction, but thats only an abstraction. As you cant decide with which TX you have received bitcoin in hindsight you cant change it, so you cant select a "sending address" anyway.

Maybe you are refering to the "coin control" concept that e.g. bitcoin core has. It allows you hand pick the inputs (formerly received transactions) to use when creating a transaction. This would indirectly allow you to manipulate what a blockchain explorer would show as "sending address". AFAIK its not a common feature in wallets though. I dont know any wallet besides core that has it.

Keep in mind that MBHD was designed with newbies in mind that dont care about the technical details. If you are looking for advanced features you might have to use a different wallet or stay with multibit classic. Classic was aimed at newbies as well, but it is not as restrictive as HD.

If you want to re-use your addresses, i'd go for electrum...

Also an SPV client you can restore from seed, but in my honest opinion, it has easyer controll of your addresses. A big plus is that it can be run easily on linux, and it has a portable version, easy tutorials for offline signing, HW wallet support,...

Also an SPV client you can restore from seed, but in my honest opinion, it has easyer controll of your addresses. A big plus is that it can be run easily on linux, and it has a portable version, easy tutorials for offline signing, HW wallet support,...

Electrum don't reuse your address unless it is imported AFAIK.
SPV Client=/ HD wallet. There are several wallets which uses the traditional generation. Eg. Bitcoin Core and Multibit classic.

All are secure, there isn't any difference between all wallets if they are properly coded. Multibit Classic doesn't use seed and sends the change back to the origin, sacrificing the privacy.

Multibit HD charges a fee[1] for every TX made which is quite absurb to be honest. But I guess it would be fair since it's their software and it doesn't cost a lot. I don't use it so I can't tell you about the user experience.

Electrum, is by far one of the best wallet I've used. Electrum allows users to connect to specific servers and you can even run one on your own VPS. It doesn't cost a lot and is still secure. Electrum also have features such as MultiSig creation, 2FA etc.

Multibit HD is the only one with brute force protection. Not entirely sure what you are asking here though.

It's pretty easy to reuse an address... Just go to the addresses-tab and either copy the address to receive coins, or right-click the address and use send-from to send coins from an address
You are right tough, when you use the receive-tab, you will be shown a new address to receive coins to.

I just wanted to point out that, in my opinion, it's a lot easyer to manage your addresses with electrum compared to multibit.

No. You can not judge security properly without knowing the possible attacker. From the 3 wallets electrum (1.x or 2.x), multibit classic and multibit HD, multibit HD is the only one that significantly slows down brute force attacks. A brute force attacker would need your wallet file, but not know your password.
