Hey guys i like to cruise the forum and read random threads now and then just to cure the boredom i suppose but at the same time i do gain a little knowledge about users of the forum.

I also notice alot of internet police here and for the most part im ok with it since theyre basically trying to help the community. Now my question that comes to mind is what do you consider is a post that is spam? What makes you decide to click the report button? To me this next post should be in the category.

Hi, as discussed via pm:

Loan amount: 0.06 BTC
Repayment amount: 0.07 BTC
Repayment date: 1 month from now

Signed message with 13DF7a3F1bHJDQHYobjFcVLmsba8RiS4ou
---
Robertt asking for a loan of 0.06 from Duomo for a repayment of 0.07 in a month

Address for loan would be the one used to sign

thank you
You have a good history of repaying your loans in time but the amounts were very small.

This loan is higher than all your previous loans. Are you offering any collateral to Duomo?

I ask myself What exactly does this guy have to do with the thread? Is he loaning? Is he asking for the loan? Why is he commenting if neither applies to him?

Am i wrong or do you guys agree that this is just basic spamming for sig payment? I see this kind of stuff all over this forum and i have to read half of it when im grading the signature campaigns i manage. Keep in mind i have no beef with this specific user its just the latest example i came across. No offense to you sir

Should we as a community report posts like this? And if so what reasoning would we quote? Sig spammer? Im kinda torn. Opinions please. I also might be totally wrong idk, thats why im posting and asking opinions

With the low-enforcement feeling of the forum, many users choose to help fight scamming with posts like this as well as neg-trusting potential scammers.  I personally don't think it should be considered spam as long as the user has a valid point, as they may end up saving somebody from losing some money.

I think the line stands between general concern and posting in every other thread saying OP is probably scamming without a point specific to the situation.  We have stickys for general guidelines, but in the example above the user was pointing out that although he may appear trustworthy, there is also a potential that it's an exit scam.

All in all it's up to you as a campaign owner to decide.  If you want, you could very well put a 'policing posts will not count' policy if it concerns you Smiley

Logically,YES .I would say that post is spam, had it been coming from either or newbie or a someone who is not related to Lending section or is not common among the lenders.Since atomicat is a lender and he does quote lending threads for references or asks them to lock their threads ,his posts in the section can't really be considered as spam. Its just due to the other lenders opinions a member decides whether to fullfil the loan request .That's how lending section works actually.

This could be examples of lending section spams:
you havent no trust for without collateral

or this

Can you please sign a message to make your you are the real account owner?
So many accounts got hacked the past few days better safe than sorry.
