Although I am not an Indian citizen, I regularly travel to India. I have family connections there (I am 1/4 Indian) and some business interests as well. The political situation there have improved quite a bit, ever since the BJP came to power in 2014. The corruption has decreased, and the red tape and bureaucracy is gradually vanishing.
