I bumped thread with my secondary account. judypug1956

I just got off the phone with Yan.

He will provide me with tracking this evening.

He is aware of our payments made for the 18 units total.

he said these should do 3600gh to  3700 gh at .3 watts per gh standard voltage.

So for those of you with an evga 1300 g2  these should be good to go.

now I have an interesting sidebar piece of info.

Kipper01  was nice enough to burn a mini sdcard that would work in the rasp pi model 2  the newest model.

I have been running my 2 ½ avalon 6's and  the fans and temps have been reworked with this  card.

What do you mean by fans and temps have been reworked on this version of software. The 3 I have I am running at 30%min fan to keep temps at 66-70. I thought the 72-77 was a little high with auto fan and 20% min setting. The metal brackets right around the fan were hot enough to cause a burn if held for more then 10-20 seconds. My ambient temp is 65f and miner reads incoming temp as 28-29.

So just curious what this custom version provides from what was shipped.

I think the mini sdcard for the new rasp pi  adjusts fan speed so you stay under 70f.  So far I can not find an other difference from the older rasp pi

I like you was getting 74 to 77 with the oem sdcard in the older model rasp pi.

Kipper01 told me he was coing to try the rasp pi model 2 and load the image from the website.  it does not work on the older rasp pi's

I asked him to mail me a good mini sdcard for the rasp pi model 2  I tested it at  freq 500 and fan 20  and when the unit would get to temp of 70 fans ramp and cool back down. to 67 68.

Since I burned 1 hash board with  the 75-77 internals I prefer the 68-70 internals.

I since discovered if  set at 42% my temps stay flat at 65-66  and I  never ramp up the fans are steady at

Thanks for getting me in on this Phil. Hello all.
If you ever need anything instantly just text me. For a new miner to play with I will always answer immediately haha.
Phil, I would always get with you right away.
(By the way there is a list of addresses where you can text from your PC for all of the Cell Carriers on ZachM's Kano.IS CKPool site.)

I've wanted this Avalon miner but the cost was not working on paper, until I added a couple of other variables. The cost of RMAing parts with a-nother manufacturer has cost which must be factored in, time spent with hashboards going back and forth, time spent with hashboards going back and forth, time spent writing e-mails to go through 4 phases of life trying to get help, polite, stern, upset, pleading, passing out Smiley

Any tips for a new Avalon 6 user? I also haven't played with a pi, but I've played with all sorts of other similar components and I can scrape by in Linux. I do well when copying and pasting someone else's commands.
Where is the best underclock thread?
How are the failure rates? Anything special I should look out for when looking under the hood?
I checked the support section but didn't find the right manual yet. I'd like to see manufacturer specifications for power. Do you think this unit will be 1200?

Thanks all

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

I think it will use 1100 watts to do about 3700gh

So if you are a 120 volt guy the evga 1300 is pretty much spot on to run this gear.

Suggestions gear the room under 92f  I am setting my freq at 500 with my fans at 45%
My temps are steady at 66c  the room is about 82 f

don't get the room really hot don't over volt.

Every fail has been running boards with high volts 3 separate boards burned

at high volts like 12.7 or 12.8 input volts.

@ every one in on this buy I did not get the shipping info as of 1 am  I am going to crash.

Yan should post them via pm to me on sat or sun

At the risk of sounding repetitive, thanks phillipma1957 for yet another successful group buy.

I'm wondering if the new hash rate for the "version 2" Avalons has more to do with the firmware updates than the string design. Here is a screen cap of my "Version 1" Avalon with the latest version firmware (MM & Ras Pi B) at 12.2 volts.

http://imgur.com/QyHqL8q

Seems I'm achieving the same results as "version 2" with lower volts using Jabber's/Finksy 4k watt PSU

If that's not the case, if I'm pulling 3.9 THs from a version 1 that's rated at 3.5 THs, then I should pull 4.2-4.3 THs from a version 2 Avalon with 3.8-3.9 THs hashing average. Can't wait till these bad boys/girls arrive!

What exact versions are you running on both? Trying to decide if to update my version 1 miners to what you have running. My PSU is feeding 12.1 in most cases and running getting 3.4 on avg.

yeah the 12.5 volt setting  gives good hashing numbers.

All ups tracking numbers show the same

Me in NJ = Wed 6 pieces 1 for me 1 for HerbPean 2 for thesmokingman 2 for jonnbravo0311

sidehack hosting = Thur 10 pieces  9 for  borachinua   and 1 for bctmke/philipma1957

Sloopy in OK = Thur 1 piece

tlhIlwI in TN = Fri 1 piece

I assisted thesmokingman and bctmke  in getting btc for the buys.

I am expecting my replacement board late to day will post on it in this thread
