I stopped buying GPUs last summer, somehow I'm sitting here with 40 more cards than I had back then. I've definitely stopped buying them now though!

If you can get ROI by the end of the year you should be fine...

I've been combing my local B&S web sites and see prices for 5800 series down to sub 100 dollar levels.  Would any of you still buy a 5870 card for a hundred bucks at this time?  Thanks.

can you gave the link?
it sounds cheap
yeah, i'd buy a 5870 for $100

you could turn it immediately for a profit, assuming it's not missing any parts, hah

Got two 7970s in April, and 2 more last week for a milk rate rig. Also have 2x 5870s for gaming/mining.

Seeing it now as a self funding hobby with gaming perks, maybe pay for a new gaming rig if lucky.

Can't see it being more than that due to asics, like others posted escape hatch is ltc or ebaying the cards.
