Hi,
First, I tried to search about this but those threads was closed or very old ones so..
Is this miner still effective? They are not badly priced and I could get 2 of this for price of 1 s7. So about 9th/s vs 4.7th/s.
But there is many broken ones or not fully working ones on sale. Are this miners too old for buying?
Should I just buy new s7 instead. I dont need to concern about electricity bills because someone else is paying it for me.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the
first distributed timestamping system.

That someone else might start caring, when that person see his bill going up by 500USD per month. But a SP30 for 450$ would be a good price, no doubt. Not sure just your electric situation is really going to make it work properly.

Finland, 2.4cents in euros. Thats okay, i have similar costs too, but only for first 50kWh, make sure there are not other fees too, and then include taxes. When adding the per kW access overcharge, the servicing fees and the taxes, i go from 0.03$/kWh to 0.06$/kWh effective.

The market price for SP30s is quite a bit higher than $450 USD per, with the units being rack mounted and fairly dense people still gravitate toward them.. If you can buy 2 SP30s for the price of an S7 point me toward them since I would grab a bunch..

The main "problem" of this miners its the fact that they need about 3000W, and an S7 only need 1300-1400W. Because they are from 2014, some of them have some dead Asics, so, they only hash from 3.5-4.2TH, that's what happen with mine. Regarding the noise, at full speed they make almost the same noise as the S7, and some S7's at full RPM speed, make that high pitch perturbing noise! SP30 are rock solid, very well done, but they had their time 2 years ago...

I mean, the two PSUs must be worth close to that.

The price is a steal! Sptech hardware it's built in Israel with designers and so on from Intel. Compare that to china hardware..... It's like an old w123 or vw golf.....

Come on now, at least half of your posts are racism against the Chinese. And so far Israel is 1/1 in failed bitcoin companies.

This was a miner that was produced before its time, however now at 0.60Ghs/W its not very profitable in most places.
