Some women are geeks, but very few are nerds. Bitcoins is much more for nerds than for geeks.

OMG i feel sooooooo lonely as a 15-year-old Bitcoin girl... You're not alone, most of the women on this forum don't advertise that fact. So other assume they are male by default.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

My wife likes fancy socks, so I'm sure you can guess how we got started with bitcoin. She likes bitcoin, but she doesn't pay much attention to the forums.

This is why there are few self-professed females on the internet This apply even in the real world... Unfortunately. But let's not start a discussion about our current culture, because it will certainly devolve into a sexist flamewar.

No is a bit extreme. But the population is far tilted towards the male side. The reason is simple: Generally speaking, males like high risk and high reward, and women like low risk and stable reward.

Women generally are much more worried about obeying authority, in general.
When I told this to people I knew the men I told smiled and if they understood the implications were happy to have this technology exist. The women I told, a large chunk of them, asked "is this legal?".

I find that very interesting... Can you later provide more info? (like, how much men and women you asked that, and how much of each replied against or for authority)

This statement can be taken in more than one way.
