It's just something I've noticed. What's the deal about that? Or have we just started using .io now as a form of identification? Tongue

My impression is that the use of .io domains not limited to cryptocurrency, but just in general tech-related websites/companies. Also, the free hosting that github gives you is on github.io's subdomains.

It has a "cool" factor to it. According to articles, the io is perceived as "input/output".

.io is more expencive that .com, .net, .org
is there any beneficts of using it? (like USA authorities cant block domain or smth.)

I used this provider to search:
https://www.onlydomains.com/domains/British-Indian-Ocean-Territory/.io

Although I found the actual provider in India British..
https://www.nic.io

But the second one seems more expensive
