So I haven't run Armory in a many months and am trying to get it updated. I get to the point where the software says it's about 50% through Scanning Transaction History and it keeps failing. I get a windows error saying ArmoryQt.exe has stopped working. No number of restarts has been able to get me past this problem. Any ideas?

Can't post the logs because Armory is greyed out once I get the windows error.

Thinking of just uninstalling and re-installing it.  What files do I need to backup before uninstalling?  I have a copy of my paper backup already.

Do I need to manually delete the Armory folder and the Bitcoin folder?

At the very least you will only need a backup of your wallet file. It may be a good idea to backup the entire armory data directory as well but it could also be corruption in that directory that is causing your problems.
