Hello, I will buy some RIG component but i need some advice to build RIG.

So i will use these components,

Amd Radeon R9 280X (x4) -- Most of ppl using this card.
Intel Pentium G3258 Socket 1150 3.2GHz
ASUS H97-PRO Intel H97 Socket 1140 DDR3 1600 Mhz (PCI-E x1 Slot x2) (PCI-E x16 Slot   x2) -- So i can use 4 GPU Unit
FPS AURUM PT 80PLUS PLATINIUM 1000W
GSKILL 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz 1.5v Dual Kit RAM

What is your opinion?
Do i have to buy ATX Tower? Or make RIG? Does any1 have blueprints for RIG Smiley I think i can make with steel.
And the main question is HASH power? How can i calculate be4 buy ?
And i assume i can use these RIG for all coins. Does hash power change based on what we mined ? For example 4.5Mh for LTC, 5 Mh for DOGE?
Thanks

You need powered risers to run those cards.

Forget a standard case, you'll have to build some sort of custom frame setup.

I'm pretty sure you need a fair bit more power supply to run 4 of those cards AND the rest of the computer, IIRC those vid cards alone will eat about 200-250 watts EACH.

No clue who "FPS" is. I strongly recommend staying with a REPUTABLE power supply maker, I.E. Seasonic or EVGA.

As I recall some coins use less than the max power the card is designed for, but I don't remember details as I've not bothered even looking at non-ASIC based coins for quite a while due to VERY LOW profitability (if any) and VERY LOW chance to achieve ROI on any of them at the almost 8c/KWH I pay for power where I live.

Forget even TRYING to mine anything Scrypt based (like LTC or DOGE) with a GPU. The best GPU rigs started losing money 2+ YEARS ago on Scrypt coins unless you have FREE electric, due to the rise of Scrypt ASIC units - and even with FREE electric, you're going to mine so little your cards will probably die before you pay for them by mining.

SHA256 based coins like Bitcoin are even worse - ASIC took those over more like 4-5 years ago, and you won't mine enough to pay for the RAM in your machine before it dies if you were to TRY to mine a SHA256 coin with a GPU-based rig even with free electric.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Better mine Ethereum
each of those cards makes 25MHs and that means $63 / card ...
But really pain in the asss to set it up ....

Thanks alot. I think i can use these RIG for ETH. https://etherscan.io/ether-mining-calculator,  there is information about average day to find 1 block. If its true the mining earnings 8$ per day and in month u ll find 15 block. And the block reward is 5 ETH. Apprx. monlty earning 400 dolar. Lets try Smiley

Hi, now i have RIG Smiley 3x ASUS R9 270x apprx. 44MH/s BUt lots of ppl has 20MH/s for each GPU. I think i make a mistake. I dont know what.

My setup is,
Windows 8.1
Lastest version of etherium
Using Cointron and Dwarfpool.
Lastest GPU driver which is, version 15.20 ( https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/R9270XDC2T2GD5/HelpDesk_Download/)

The max for r9 270x is around 17-18 Mhs this is when you change mem and gpu clock.

Excuse me, why does it take thousands of days to mine just a few (2-3) Dash/Darkcoin with best GPU's? Why is the difficulty so high and will there ever be FPGA's or ASIC's to mine Dash/Darkcoin (X11)? I was wanting to build a Dash mining rig with GPU's (2-4 GPU's in just one computer) and I thought it would be faster than 2 Dash earned per year...

Where do people get 20 MH per GPU?

have you been able to get your new mining rig up and running? And mining Eth?
Would like to hear some results. Thanks

Here is my RIG.

NiceHash I think may do good for you.
They are a marketplase for hashes and are usually solf on a per hour basis, so you can earn money quite quickly.
There is also NiceHashMiner too that does quite well (I think, though I haven't run it due to the strength of a manual firewall I set up on my laptop (that I cannot seem to bypass).

Why not contact the mod --ck and find out more about it (he says he is the founder of cg miner and is quite useful for knowledge of mining).

If you search for NiceHashMiner on the foru, you will be directed to the download. Download it on the control computer and run it to earn possibly slightly more than you would earn.

Here is the github link:
https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner

run
Code:
git clone "https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner"
if possible on a linux machine.

Otherwise follow the link and download as a ZIP

OR

download the git shell on windows or mac.

If you are unsure about the installation files, I could create you a file for linux for it to install correctly. It is already built to run directly of windows with the windows ZIP folder.

It also recieves payment in bitcoin and you can cange the algorithm.
