This morning I received an email from bitmain saying my account was accessed from an unknown IP. (I had previously years ago purchased an antminer)

So I was like that's weird let me check it out...unfortunately bitmain does not allow you to change your password (bug?)

I decided to log onto here to see if there was any news about Bitmain being hacked or something but alas I couldn't log in with my credentials or reset the password.

Long story short, the person with "BigJon901" is not me and is a SCAMMER.
I can provide proof that I am the original account holder but I don't trade or do anything with bitcoins anymore and would like it to be deleted if possible.

Here is the email from bitmain:

"At 2016-02-01 06:47:46 UTC your account was from an unkown IP address. The details are listed below:

Action Type: Web login
Browser: Chrome
Platform: windows
IP Adress: 79.110.28.109
Location: United States; -; -

If this wasn't you, please report this as a suspicious login and change your password immediately.

Thanks for your support

I have submitted a ticket that seems to be the only way to contact them as they're based in China?

Feeling sad that you've been ratted out ? If you really are the original owner of the account, then im sure signing a message from one of your old address wont be an issue.

Don't know what or who to believe here, but I hope the OP here is telling the truth.  There's been way way way too much of this bullshit going on in this forum as of late.  As the dude above me said, prove you are who you say you are with a signed message.

If you are telling the truth you can guarantee that your account was compromised and used for attempting to scam:
How much would you pay for a 1k Amazon gc?

A PM I received from "your" account while I was buying amazon gift cards.

Buy or sell $100 of Crypto and get $10!

I can sign a message. I'm looking for one that I publicly posted when dealing with stuff on here..give me a minute and I'll reply to this thread.

Update:
Ok in this post I helped someone with an Antminer problem (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=293269.5)
I asked for tips (lol) with address 18ZU96h1ErviqwLKhgh4L8rGcEzRdZuwMm

Update 2: added the message that was signed  Roll Eyes
I will now sign a message with that. "I am the real BigJon901."

There is also a thread in meta for staking your Bitcoin address.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0

You stake it there and other people quote your post for you so if a hacker deletes your post the quote's still there to prove that's your address. The moderators don't mind you posting your address there, but it's now banned everywhere else apart from in games and rounds.

finally this issue with your account was solved BigJon901. Update also other posts, there was a full invasion of "your" scam attempt.
And you can also ask to get back your account (but I don't know much more about that, and a trust negative account is worthless ....)....
