Have fun playing your lotto.
I can create 12000 private keys myself, with a chance close to 0, some might have coins in them. That's indeed like playing the lotto, just with even less probability.
And if I generate them myself, I don't have to waste 0.35BTC for obtaining 12k empty addresses from you.

I don't understand. Are there any actual bitcoins in these wallets with private keys? If so why would he be selling this?

I would also like to understand why would someone pay money for this! Is this a scam?

It was funny to read this, as I did not thought it was possible to generate private keys out of the blue, even less to match one that has money in it. It is reassuring also to read that this is not easy at all (thanks for the reddit link)
