I can't access bitmit. I get no response in my browser or from a ping.

Can anyone confirm the status of http://www.bitmit.net?

It's been down for ~12-16h, now. Tosaki noted server troubles without elaboration, but it didn't sound out of the ordinary. A >half-day outage is pretty severe, though... so dunno.

Without being able to communicate using the site itself, it would be nice if they would at least use Twitter to provide status.

Hope the server will be back within the next 12 hours. I am so sorry for this but I have to wait for actions at the datacenter.

"allow escrow" on/off switch could be per shipping option (e.g. I would want to be able to allow escrow for tracked letter shipping, but not for standard uninsured letter)
...
I can't support the complaint that the site is slow, btw. It's sufficiently fast for me. Maybe because I'm in germany, as I assume the site is also.
+1 on the possibility to allow escrow only for tracked shipping. I'd use that.

How many orders have you done molecular? Loading my "Sold items" or "Messages" list can take up to 15 seconds, but then I have maybe 50 open orders and hundreds of messages.

Tosaki: Any ETA on when the site will be back up?

Yes, this slow loading is because of the db access. We must to upgrade to a better server.
