Help me identify this laptop part (SONY VAIO Experts please help)

Hi guys. Kind of a weird situation and I need your help. Please read on.
I usually buy broken laptops, gaming consoles, desktops, LED monitors etc refurb them and then resell them.
Recently, I came across a Sony VAIO which has been previously tampered with by other people and has been upgraded from it's basic specs.

The problem is, this laptop has an ethernet port which does not fit the motherboard.
The ethernet rj 45 jack has a m970 cable with a 8 pin connector. The motherboard, which is a M961
MP has an ethernet port with only 6 pin outlet.

When I disassembled the laptop, the ethernet port connector wasn't even connected to the board, which is obvious because it didnt fit.

I'm not sure whether whoever upgraded it changed the usb port or the motherboard itself. Probably the motherboard was changed because it was an upgrade from i3 to i5.

In any case, could anyone tell me what part I need to fix this problem?
A new ethernet port for this 961 motherboard? Does anyone know the part name or number?

Here are the pictures.

As you can see the M970 cable does not even fit the board.

The M961 cable that I found on ebay has the bigger pin holes but still has 8 slots instead of 6 which is on the board that I have.

After a lot of research (online) I have found out that the M961 motherboard was used/shipped with the following model numbers:

PCG 61212T / 61211L - VPCEA25FB / VPCEA45FL



I am 100% confirmed that this board was definitely shipped with VPCEA45FL

Now I need the part number list for this model. Can anyone help?

From what i know i seen lot of this on repairs here i dont have it here and there is a problem with your cuz is little old model.
I will try to ask our shipment office is there any way to order this or you can ask sony directly if they have they will ship it to you

I know that Toshiba does that so i assume that Sony will do the same.

I would be grateful if you could give me any info whenever you can. The sooner the better.

Sorry about delay but i haven't been on work couple of days was sick
We dont have this part and our suppler said the same it little hard to get anything for sony he told me that you should try contacting Sony official in your country or global if they have they will send it to you no time

Sorry for not responding back here. Just wanted to thank you for trying to help me.
I ended up buying the Cable 015-0201-1589_A which worked perfectly. I had to replace the entire Ethernet jack.
