Also is the max value set , a true max meaning no further interest,
if so does the coin generate value thru transaction fees?
If so what amounts could one expect from those fees?

PoS interest adds more coins, therefore more value.
If a Max quantity is set, how does the coin continue to generate value.

For BTC, I always heard once they hit 21 million , that the miners would make their money off of transactions fees.
Will it be the same for Super or something different?

If it was up to me, I say 100 million max and switch to a 5% interest rate per year until max.

But something like that should be a community vote.

How does that work? How do you cap in place?
(It was once 20mill was it, cant stop inflation, Super is at 36621946.63156006......     and if you ask me, thats a cool number! Its interest rather than over-inflation.
If you can cap at 40million that would be great, but would it still stake at lower %. If super is 100mill in 10years that would be ok. If just leave as is, how long untill it got to 40, 50, 100million respectively?

Supercoin is still in its infancy so it's best that we keep the staking for longer until it is well established.

So maybe set it to max 50million and put the stake rate to 3% to allow enough time (approx 9-10 years) for growth?

I agree. The eventual max number of coins needs to be the least as possible to limit the coins available. Also there needs to be a reducing sliding scale over the years for the POS. I think the balance between the two is very important.
