There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Isn´t this going to be a problem for the Olympics this summer in Brazil? That´s huge money. Maybe the story will disappear so as not to disturb the cash registers.

It´s set to start in six months, much water under the bridge until then.

There have been more studies that have surfaced and there are cases in which people have died from Zika.  They said that it usually does not cause death.  There are currently 56 cases in which they are looking into Zika related deaths.  However they have confirmed at least 3 deaths in adults from the virus.  If anyone is following this at all worldwide they (WHO and CDC) has stated they are putting a number of infected in the Americas between 3 - 4 million people in the next year.  And they will not have a inoculation for a few years but may be able to run a test study later this year.  So if what they say is true consider what has already happened and where this virus currently is and what countries it is hitting in. If they find more people that died because of Zika.  Mainly newborns are the ones that die from the virus.  and there are 56 more death cases that they are looking into.

Now imagine if this virus mutated.  As it has already done at least once that has been recorded.  And they say that the mutation that they recorded would or may be the reason why it is now spreadable by intercourse as the previous was not.  It was blood to blood contact only and has never been able to be contracted threw intercourse.  Now it is and has been confirmed to be.  They studied 1 subject who was 44 years old.  He tested negative for the virus in his blood.  However his urine and seamen tested positive.  They at this time are not sure how long it lasts in seamen or urine.

Will be watching this virus as it could turn out to be pretty interesting.

Meh! Good point.

I don't think lots of people will take the risk to go to Brazil if there is a shit like that...

Cause I don't even know the long term consequences. I mean, imagine your wife isn't pregnant, would the fact that she'd be infected by Zika virus have consequence on the child she'll bear 2 years after?

The garbage some come up with this days is just phenomenal. The Olympics are in august 5-21 we have early February.  Allowing some time to have the birth at home one would assume it to happen sometime in September. Give a few weeks before she know for certain to be pregnant.  So the first thing loads of them did after they found out to be pregnant is to make bookings for Olympics.  Grin Grin Grin

Exactly! We should put all our effort in this new disease before we get a new generation of retardes guys because of that virus!

Do we know if it's systematical of if there is just a chance? I mean, pregnant women will ALWAYS have a bay with mycrocephaia? Or do they have like 50% chances?

Officials in Texas have reported the first case of Zika virus contracted in the United States, saying it was sexually transmitted. If confirmed, it marks only the second known case of Zika transmission through sexual contact. Zika has continued to spread rapidly across Latin America, with Chile reporting its first three cases. The mosquito-borne illness, while generally not life-threatening, has been linked to the birth defect microcephaly, which causes babies to be born with abnormally small heads. The link has raised debates over restrictive abortion laws in countries like Brazil, which has seen nearly 3,700 suspected cases of microcephaly. The World Health Organization’s Anthony Costello announced the latest steps against Zika.

Dr. Anthony Costello: "This morning we’ve now set up a global response unit, which brings together all people across WHO in headquarters in the regions to deal with a formal response, using all the lessons we’ve learned from the Ebola crisis."

Scientists have linked rising temperatures from global warming to the increased incidence of mosquito-borne infections such as Zika.

Very much so a problem.  Funny how the name Zika sounds like an end of times type of virus.  Zombie Apocalypse.   lol

But es very true could be a bad one if it keeps on its path.

The CDC has rated Zika high and has issued their highest Level of warning for Florida maybe other places as well.  Maybe there 3 - 4 Million will turn into 3 - 4 Billion.

Have to keep an eye on this.

Who is to say that there will not be problems even later say 5 years or so.  They really are not sure yet if there is any impact.

Ooooooooooook...

Well, seems like this shit got to be cured or will become the doom of humanity! Because if every one infected gives birth to an infected...

Doesn't it remind you of some zombie apocalypse games? :/

Zombie apocalypse is not stupid.

If it damages the genes, it means the disease will go from mother to child. Which means an infected can only give birth to another one.
