My favorite gambling game is poker without a doubt I am not that good in it but I am just having a good time when I am playing it with some friends.

He's talking about foreseeable events in sports. You can have an idea which team is favorite, which is closer to win etc. but in dice games you don't have any specific info, it's just about luck. Sports bets have logical side, dice games don't.
