Best software combination?

Ok I have the hardware, now I need to choose the software.


Which software combination has the highest Mhashes/s throughput?


I guess windows is not a good choice, as it waste too much resources.


Since I'm used to ubuntu, I would prefer this distribution. Still the variables left are a lot.

x86 or amd64?

Which miner?

Any particular software optimization?
