Introducing people to BitCoin via business cards

I would like to hand out business cards to people to promote BitCoin and wanted to know if there was anything official, or recognised, as being a decent piece of information on a business card size card?

What aspect are you wanting them to be introduced to?   Do you have a business your trying to promote to them?  Or are you just wanting to promote bitcoin in general?

And if so in general which side? Mining? Investing? Just info behind it?  More we know better we can help.

It's to an older generation that does understand email, but has a need for anonymity. Just the general aspects of BitCoin like anonymity and that it can be changed into National currency, if needed.

With a link to the .org site I suppose.

Just something with the logo on and a few key overall points about the technology for the layman.

I suppose I could make it myself, but if something exists then I'd be saving time by printing it out. However, I probably could have done it by now..

Is the official site and has tonnes of information and references about Bitcoin in general. You should definitely have that on it.

Don't know from where you learned that there is no transaction fees but that is wrong. There is a transaction fee, the average tx fee is 0.0002 BTC/KB which comes to about 8 cents US. You may send with no transaction fee but that may delay getting the transaction to confirm and/or it might not get picked by miners.

I think it's best if you hand out pamphlet. In that way it can have more informations written plus you can make it look cool.

I had a awesome idea I don't think I have seen anyone do.   Sidehack makes some great compac's.  If your budget is high enough try to commission a business card that is a usb miner.   

Have the PCB oversized and can print info on it via PCB.  And have it actually be a compac on your card that works.  Not sure if that is in budget but would be a very good way to get people to try a miner via your card.

Be sure to put a giant QR code on the card as well. This will help people being directed to the bitcoin.org website for further information.

Also I would try to make it look like an infographic to make it more fancy and attractive.

I think this is all going to come down to cost.  There are all kinds of great ideas.  I think it depends if hes talking about thousands just to pass out... likely nothing to special and being cheap is important.

If giving to a select group that is related to buisness he's in then lots of cool options.

as bitbaby pointed out the information about fees is misleading, you should change it to something like "the lowest transaction fees"

also add benefits like "fast (immediate) transaction in matter of seconds"

also you might want to add a simple website wallet like Coinbase , because I have found out that when new person wants to start with bitcoin the first thing that throws them off is the wallet (bitcoin core) and the size of it and also the fact that they might have no idea where to buy bitcoin. a service like Coinbase makes all of these easy for newbies.

this was for putting on the card but if I can even introduce bitcoin to someone new on my own I would introduce them to SPV wallet preferably Electrum, because it is easy to use and doesn't have the massive size of full node wallets. also more importantly they would not rely on a third party to use bitcoin.

I wouldn't advocate a third party anyway, that would look commercial and, above all, compromise security, which is very important.

I didn't want a QR code because it would confuse the recipient, this person is of an older generation.

But, it was fine for what I wanted and if anybody else needed to do something then they too could work from this template and add the suggestions you've all contributed.

Don't know what you mean by that but anytime you send Bitcoins from one address to another, you have to pay a little miner's fee. Unless you're talking about importing private keys from one wallet to another, which is free as long as you import directly and don't use the sweep function (which means sending all funds from A->B)

If you're talking about coinbase and other similar wallet services then you're correct. It is important to keep your coins in a wallet of which only you have the keys.

I'm not sure I agree with all of this.  If someone is confused by a QR code... I don't see them likely to adapt Bitcoin.  It just is a hard one to push adoption if you think something small like QR code is to much for the user.

I think you kinda have a hard battle.  At first I thought you were doing this as a card for you and a business.  But bitcoin as a whole... fitting benefits and attracting someone to truly use it is going to be hard to do by passing out a small business card.  I see very low adoption via this card passed out.
