Amount Scammed: $42
Payment Method: PayPal
Proof of Payment: https://i.imgur.com/vBOFNyz.jpg
PM/Chat Logs: http://imgur.com/a/17S7u
Additional Notes:

I feel like complete idiot. I got so happy I finally found someone who will send me BTC (because I'm newbie) and didn't pay attention to any of obvious signs that this is a scammer.

Anyway, I opened PayPal dispute (via e-mail) and I hope they will get me my money back.

New member accepting paypal with a self moderated AND locked thread is never a good sign. Hopefully you learn from this.

It's very unlikely anybody here is gonna sell you BTC for PayPal. Instead they will just take your PayPal and come up with a lame excuse forcing you to chargeback. Try buying with another method or continue wasting your time with these scammers.

I'm well aware what I did and I feel really really stupid...

In my defense, thread wasn't locked before and I didn't see it was self-moderated (hell I didn't know such threads exist).

Hopefully someone else will be smarter and search his name before they become his next scam-victim.

You can file dispute to paypal or email them and provide some documents. Or screenshots.

OP, the good news is, as the others have said, you can do a chargeback on this scuntass.  In fact the very reason that this can happen is why everyone here recommends people not take PayPal for bitcoin unless the person with the PP is trusted.  So you have a good shot at getting your money back from this monkeyfucker.

And as the others have said, learn from this.  Don't do business with noobs.  Always use escrow with people who have no trust and no standing in this community.  Good luck, sir.

Since this is a legitimate reason to chargeback on someone, you probably should do that. Next time use an escrow to deal even with reversible methods to prevent all this hassle. But the scammer has gotten what he deserves already Wink
