This thread is disturbing, why is all this manual intervention required?

This thread is disturbing, why is all this manual intervention required?

We process thousands of dwolla orders every day, due to the crappy Dwolla API (which we have submitted many updates to them) 1 out of every few hundred orders fail, so we have a thread where customers can come and get it resolved without going thru regular support channels.

Charlie

Please take a look at da1a929f-d39b-4b95-8f71-dfd69bb75ea7, funds were moved out of dwolla to bitinstant over 48hrs ago.
Thank you.

Two things.

1. this has not been fixed, I'm still waiting for BTCs from bitinstant.

2. I have to question your statement above about the dwolla transactions failing only once in every couple hundred... Just look at that other thread, its pretty s--ty I've got so much company.  In the past two weeks I've done two transactions with bitinstant using dwolla, they both failed in the same exact manner.  Thankfully the first time around CS fixed everything about as soon as I could contact them.  Either I am incredibly unlucky, or your estimate is not in the right ballpark and you're trying to keep everyone from worrying about something that is of true concern. Look at your logs, do some number crunching, I think you've got a bigger problem than you're either admitting or are aware of.

Hey,

1- Have you checked your email? We sent the coinapult URL.

2- You are looking at it in relative terms. We do thousands of transactions a day, and 'so much company' is 3-5 orders per day. Obviously, its a 'Support Thread' so your gonna see customers asking for support. Were working on the issue and Dwolla should be giving us the API fix very soon.

I checked my email, but guess I wasn't supposed to check it until 7 minutes ago though - that's when I finally get the email from coinapult saying the coins have been sent. I understand you guys are trying to work through this, but you have to look at it from an end user's point of view.  As a sys-admin I get it, I swear, but as a customer I've got an entirely different perspective (and I'm sure many others do as well).  When your system works, I have to say its just an awesome product, and the first time around when I ran into this error the customer service was excellent, but this transaction took nearly 71 hours to complete (edit: to be 'fair' doing the math I think it might be 68 or 69).  Thank you for getting the transaction pushed to completion, and I wish you luck working with Dwolla, that has to be a partnership that's all kinds of fun to deal with  Grin
