Hello

Over 12 hours ago, I transferred 85 BTC from my miner to my MtGox account, but they never showed up??  Surely 12 hours should be long enough?  What if it takes longer than the 24 hours max time MtGox allows for transfers into the address it gave to me?

Here is the command I used (and its response)
Code:
jondecker76@miner1:~/bitcoin-0.3.21/bin/32$ ./bitcoind sendtoaddress 12UxL6jP29jLmYuz2DtVW3r1T1QykL4dT7 85.00
d37fa85205dfafb6f0d0bf69f116d4b6623018e4a1923f1b7c6bb4ebd534d02d

Did I do something wrong?  I'm not showing the 85 BTC in my local account anywhere, so where did they go?

thanks

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Seems to have worked.

Although currently the block count is 129416, so your transaction is only 2 blocks old.
I would wait another 5 blocks before worrying.

did a transaction fee automatically come out?  Why was it split into 4 separate transactions?

Your bitcoins weren't just stored in just 1 address, so you had to pool your money together to send it to mtgox.

EDIT: the 54 bitcents you have are the leftovers from the sum of the number of bitcoins in the 4 addresses that you used. It got sent to another address in your wallet to provide more anonymity.

You used a risky Linux command to send that many BTC? Wow.
