Found this on the web. I understand why they destroyed the S1 but why destroy a perfect good PSU.

No C1s there, but several of those are S3s. They've got the bracket that lays the controller horizontally between the two hashing boards.

I  noticed no C1 after I posted that  unless he air cooled them and used the box for S5 Water cooling  but did anyone notice nothing above that  ? .

maybe a s2 board or 2 ?.

S3 upgrades.

That's what happens when you invest in bitcoin asics, they'll 100% become obsolete after some time. Now, what kind of person gets anrgy at such a predictable outcome? And posts pictures about it as well. I bet this is just attention whoring.

The PSUs are the only real sad thing. I hope he recycles that mass instead of hitting a dumpster with it.

Looks like a troll to me...some boards are in static bags...which makes me think they were old/non working boards. Probably same thing with the PSU so he decided to have some fun and troll the internetz...gg

Given the lack of S3 housing, I'd guess the S3 boards we see are an upgrade kit and the boards in bags are the retired S1 parts.

The PSUs claim to be Corsair CX750M, which... 80+ Bronze? Not that great, but I see remains of three in there which could have brought in a hundred bucks at least.

Can't believe I missed this.  That is a way to go out with a bang.

What I want to know is if he made ROI.   Seems like someone craving attention and did it for not a ton of money.  Still a shame to smash gear up, especially the psu's even though nothing special.

Is there a solid proof that they destroyed those due to difficulty? It's kinda hard to take in since they could have at least sell it to those who invest on old miners for fun even though they wont get any ROI. The only reason I'm seeing here is as if they were all non working unless the owner have some sort of psycho Tongue

Honestly, i think it was junk non-working gear or he was trolling or needed to post something (psycho problems), i would have donated it or tried to sell it first if it was working gear.

if it all worked that was maybe 300 $ bucks worth of gear .

Okay, turns out this thread is trash. The descriptions from the images that were posted 10 months ago suggest its nothing to do with difficulty and the dude is just a bit crazy.

Quote
Destroyed bitcoin miners (1.245th/s) plus bonus s1 blades

Pic 1: A few bitcoin miners that were smashed (2Antminer s1(240ghs), 2 antminer s3(900ghs), 1 blackarrow prospero x-1(100ghs) and 2 corsair cx75m). BONUS: 4 antminer s1 blades smashed too! All of these were taken after being destroyed by a very mad parent. Devil worshiping magical internet money making machines

Pic 2: Even PSU's go! it all goes, nothing stays when you find bitcoin gear. Devil worshiping machines.

Pic 3: Bitmaintech, blackarrow, it makes no difference it is all evil

Pic 4: Antminer s3 upgrades and broken corsair cx750m. Everything must go

Pic 5: Antminer s3 upgraded, smashed with it's old blades and updated controller board. See you in hell, devil worshiping magical internet money making machines

heh

that'd be a good outcome to hope for but unlikely to see profitable miners get the same treatment.  Roll Eyes I was giving the guy the benefit of the doubt by saying he's attention whoring, perhaps he's just an idiot who purchased an S1 recently.
