So!
theres is the "introduce yourself" thread, but thats not what I want.
Tell me fellow newbies: why did you register to this forum?
for me it was two reasons. Because I see an opportunity here for making money in the future, and I also want to try and get more people into bitcoins as I strongly agree with the goals it represents.
WHY DID YOU SUBSCRIBE HERE?

Honestly this forum is a great place to get information, provide information and just be part of the community.
If you mean why are we in Bitcoin, that's something that is all together different, and there are many reasons.
However, as they say on the Moonshiners show, if you're gonna be in Bitcoin you're gonna have to love your Bitcoin Talk. Well I think that's what Tickle said.

I would have to start by saying First I believe everybody and there grand mother should be mining bitcoins the more people mining bitcoins the stronger the NETWORK Becomes and the more secure it will be when it comes to Elites trying to Control the Money Supply... When we create our own Proof of Work where we don't need Paper Proof that is actually Bank Notes that are backed by none other than Debt... I believe people who think that Bitcoin is unsafe or is just a big bubble need to give there head a shake sure .COM was a Bubble back in the 90,s however it is still very valuable to hold onto website names that are well know for example Apple.com Imagine being the person that bought and held on to that domain till MAC came along.
Bitcoins are only profitable if we learn to work together and stop trying to profit off other peoples losses I am here to show people that power of creating our own form of currency that can be traded for Gold and Silver and anything else we may need in the future.
I am For REAL Money not Fiat Money Thank You very much!

wow http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4o2mfuNjp1qii6tmo1_400.gifvery well said sir, I wish more people were in it for the value rather than scamming a few bucks (though the trade and mining are both important)

Check out BTC JAM, www.btcjam.com. Beware though there are many people that will scam you. If you are wise you can make some good investments. Beware of the confidence scam where someone does a serious of small loans and progressively makes bigger loans once they have your confidence. Also, bitcoin-OTC and their web of trust is a good place to look for information about who has worked to build their reputation. Also look at the Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Lending section of this forum, there is good information there as well.

I've used BTCJam, but a word of advice to all newcomers: Be careful with your coins. Bitcoin itself is secure, but if you send your coins to somebody else, they won't come back by themselves. If you decide to lend out your BTC to people, be skeptical and cautious. This goes for anywhere, whether it be BTCJam, the Lending subforum, Bitcoin-otc, Bitfunder, or any other service that involves you sending your BTC to someone else in return for a promise of later repayment.
