Ok I'm absolutely positive that the newbie section of this site is the prime place for this topic, so here goes.

I downloaded bitcoin-qt the other day and put 3 bitcoins or so into the address it gave me by default. Me, being the newbie that I am, didn't wait until bitcoin-qt finished downloaded all of the blocks, so now I'm stuck waiting for it to sync so I can use my bitcoins. After hours of googling, I learned that I can import my wallet to an eWallet, so I opened van account on blockchain.info. Now, I'm stuck with the problem of finding my private key in order to use my bitcoins from my online wallet.

So my question is, what is the easiest way of finding my private key?

Thanks all

Have you tried the "Desktop Sync" option under "Import/Export".  I haven't tried it yet, but based on their statement:

This tool enables you to sync your wallet with the official desktop client available from bitcoin.org.

It sounds like it might do what you need?
