Hey guys, I was wondering how does gambling in slots works? I have played last night and unfortunately got lost 0.1 BTC because I got greedy wanting to get more profit. (I really can't still move on from this loss. ) LOL. I mean, is slots games also provably game? Does it have a house edge or something? When it comes to provability of winning, is it jut like a dice game or worst?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

There are some provably fair slots, such as the one on satoshidice, coinroyale and crypto-games.net, but there are also a lot of non provably fair slots out there. I am not interested in slots very much and so I have not much idea about its house edge.

For example, if everyone puts 1BTC, the machine will keep 30% of that and return 70% to the players. A game like blackjack have a return rate of about 99-99.5% depending on the rules and assuming the player plays perfectly. What most people have a hard time understanding is that many players can put everything they have (lose 100%). This happens often since most people can't manage their bankroll properly (although there's no profitable way to do it statistically). Followed by a single one who plays and win many times his investment (anywhere from 1 to 1000x or even more).

The only advantage I can think of when playing slots is that you can get some visuals; in dice you can only see numbers while slots is more entertaining with it's exciting visuals.

The gambling sites could easily include some visuals of rolling a dice, but this would greatly reduce the speed of the rolls and thus the profit of the dice site. The same way slots can be made non visual with only numbers, but because we are so used to it, nobody would like to see something like that.

Most of the fancy slots are not provably fair, maybe its because they have lot of elements/small-games which are part of it and the house edge should be mentioned at the site you're playing at.

But for dice game house edge only affected in a long run and when you are using some strategy. If you are just manual bet I dont think that house edge really affect you. But for slot you can suddenly hit a jackpot with just one roll too, although you played with house edge although it is high I am sure you can get a good profit too

This is simply not true. Even if you just make only one bet, a 1% house edge would bring your winning chance 1% lower. For example for x2 bet, it becomes 49.5% rather than 50%, making your expected return to be always only 99% of your wagered.

Yea well, what I understand with your posts is that slota has a higher house edge than any other gambling game. I just fancy playing slots because I like the graphics specially those video slots. My favorite is Jekyle and Hyde.

It depends on the site. Bitcoinvideocasino is my favorite slot site because you can select how many lines to play, up to 20, and you can make a lot of money with the progressive wins and bonuses if you get lucky, and I also like it graphics wise. For me the 3 slot machines are boring, I need 5.

When it comes to provability of winning, is it jut like a dice game or worst? Real casinos usually have around 3-4% edge on slot games. It varies and is for example higher in high end casinos and lower in places where Las Vegas locals play. Slots generally display paylines and payouts, but people that made their own slots and post on this forum may not display this properly. It's complicated to calculate actual payout so it's usually done by running a few billion simulation spins. btw, I think you mean probability when you say provability

Faik all slots I have played has an option to configure the number. That's the best feature of slots for me. Btw, do you know any slots game that has a lower min. bet? I play at bitstarz and the min. bet is 1mbtc per bet. They used to have a 0.5 mBtc min. bet the last time I played.

They're still subjective in regards two every website.I can link you to good slots which have house edges as low as 1% and some of the best online casinos have house edges to the maximum of 4%.15% is way too much I feel, haven't really see any websites lately offering that high edges in this competitive market.

Although house edge guarantees that you will lose in the long term, because you more or less have no control over what payout you want in slots, they can essentially fuck you up in the short term by having very high payouts for a select interval, while having very low payout for others.

The house edge of slots is very high based on real-life casinos. I believe that online casinos are no different. If the house edge of slots is low, a casino would have made announcement to everybody.

the nature of slot machine games is way diferent than games like dice and such house edge has direct impact on payout when you play dice , you get always -HE% on your winnings
but in slots you cant choose your payout X so the most important factor is the payout table , house edge is secondary concern
lets say a slot game has a rare combo to pay 1 / 100000 spins if that combo pays lets say 20000x then for all casual users the average house edge they face every day is 20000/100000 = 20% plus the usual house edge
take a good look at payout tables of slot games you want to play at first if you see such rare combos paying very big payout x then you will know for sure just one thing : unless you actually hit that rare combo you are about to feeding that slot for very very long time.
a well balanced payout table paying from even money up to 1000-2000x and a house edge up to 2% it is better than a 0% edge and a bad payout table
