That's great, I liked this a lot.  I'm about seconds away from doing the same.  It used to piss me off when people were glued to their phones instead of paying attention to everything else, and now I'm doing the same damn thing.  I would not get a big yellow rotary dial phone however.

I am not addicted to my smartphone, but my partner does... He is always using his phone, chatting qith froends, playing games, etc..  i am really fed up with his behavior...

I've had a "smart"phone for a few years now and have never used it for more than taking pics here and there or checking the weather and I really can't stand texting. That being said, the next phone I get is going to be a flip-phone or whatever they call the non-smart phones now. I just don't get the people I know that leave their phones on while they sleep or can't be without them for fear of having a nervous breakdown. You really do see nothing but people walking about with their heads down playing with their phones and it has gotten so ridiculous that now there are repetitive strain injuries such as "text neck" from people's addictions to these things. There is such a major disconnect from people who can't put the phone away at dinner or even on dates and now what could be conveyed in a ten second phone call is drawn-out over multiple texts - it is just ridiculous.

My thoughts exactly. I find it utterly pathetic seeing people walking down the street holding their smartphones in front of their faces waiting for the next absolutely useless Twitter/WhatsApp/whateverApp message.

I've bought my mobile phone €12.99 in Italy 3 years ago. It's a very nice phone, and it accepts 2 SIM cards. I don't think I'll ever get a smartphone. I have more control over my life without one, and I enjoy not living with apps with which I would have to share all my travel info, nor any personal information. I switch on the computer when I want to read/send emails, and if I don't want anything like that, I just keep it switched off.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

I have a smartphone. It's great. However I don't do facebook, instagram, twitter or any of that shit. I don't game. Hardly anyone has the number and I probably wouldn't pick up anyway. What I do use it for is taking photos, navigating and mobile internet usage. For that it's amazing.

i guess i am the only one who is not using smart phone . people are missing their moments staying glued to their phones now a days and i really hate that. i am not against smart phones but how people are making use of it.

I don't find a 4 inch screen all that exciting where I would want to spend hours interacting with it. I find it ok for *phone* calls.  Wink

The picture that you included in the main post it's not a smartphone, btw smartphones are much addictive and the new generations of people can't live without it(simply they can't imagine the life without a smartphone in their hands)

this article is very educational for me  because i have a smartphone addiction too.. it is the very crucial problem of our era.. we must find some solution immediately before smartphones blows our brains out..

When you are addictive using the phone sometimes it does not matter if online or offline, but the essential is making calls.

I would suggest find another hobby or what ever that can make u busy and as long as its useful and profitable.
