Just checked coinatmradar.
And regarding their charts there were 252 new Atms taken into operation this year so far.
Last year the number was "only" 182.
So compared to that this years performance is really good and we have a few more months to go this year.
2,72 Atms as an average number, get installed per day.
With that kind of momentum we could see the 1000 Atms installed this year already. That would be awesome.
What we don't know is if deinstalled Atms get taken into account as well.

Installing ATMs is great and all, but did it also mention something about how many of them are actually being used by people? I think that's the most important bit of information.

People is Zagreb should be happy there is just one because around 1 million kilometers from here there aren't any BTC atm's. people using BTC can just wait for it to gain more popularity and maybe then someone would install one in the area.

In my country (RO) you can buy Bitcoin from self-payment machines (zebrapay). The fees are higher than I'd like, but they cover quite a lot of cities and they are quite handy.
But you can only buy Bitcoin, not sell....

There are a few BTMs in Bucharest, but that's too far for me...

I think it is a cool idea but if they want people to use them more often the fees must be lowered,if i recall correct there is only one Bitcoin ATM in my city and not very far from where my home is but i never used it cause it doesn't give you the option to sell BTC and i am not interested in buying from an ATM.

According to Coinatmradar there are lots in Spain, but my experience is that few if any are working correctly when trying to sell coins. I have visited several along the coast between Málaga and Barcelona. If you send coins and don't get the right amount you won't get your coins back. I tried to warn about it on Coinatmradar but I was banned.

That's not a good service, in order for a ATM to successfully work, it should also allow us to buy bitcoins like some Bank ATMs which allows its client to withdraw and deposit, I think they will innovate and improve their system once there are many people who are in demand of using the ATM.

I was actually surprised to find that there is actually Bitcoin ATM here in Philippines. lol. And I found it because of this thread.(I was curious so I googled it)  Grin  It's in Sunette Towers, Makati .

What i surprise to that there is a bitcoin atm here in our country philippines.. I thought that next year they will release those atm.
I am happy to here that but the problem its too far in my place it takes a long time before i can withdraw there or deposit.

Not surprising at all, tbh. Makati is a city that has always been advanced in terms of this stuff. Bitcoin ATM would be a good way to introduce Bitcoin to the people passing by. But, I don't think the machine in the picture is functional. See the picture and the paper on it says "Out of order". I've never seen this Bitcoin ATM in person (well, because I live far away from the city) but I'm looking forward into seeing them around especially now that you can buy Bitcoins from 7-Eleven.
I am also living in the Philippines and I just know that there is a bitcoin ATM here in our country, but I guess I will not enjoy that benefits as I am not living near to that area, I am not in makati so I would just use my exchange site which link my wallet to a certain banks.

Glad to see more and more btc ATM in the world now. What's the address in Makati city? I will find and use it if I travel to Philippines.

If you read the post in this quote, it says "It's in Sunette Towers, Makati" and also, if you've read my post, you'll know that this Bitcoin ATM is actually out of order (picture is the reference).

Considering there is a constant increase of bitcoin atm stalls, there should be high enough demand/use of them because they would not be installing them if there were not in demand. In my opinion, bitcoin ATM's playing dual role like spreading bitcoin to new people and for a bitcoiner it serves the real purpose of ease bur/sell for fiats. What else we could expect from a traditional vendor machine to modern crypto.

You don't know nothing John Snow! There is many ATMs much closer to your city then you know it, please check google to see that. Belgrade have couple ones, Split, Sofia... and this cities are much closer then you think.
As I know soon there will be even more ATMs on Balkan, I was talking with some people from Belgrade and they said they have plans for future, but they are not in a hurry and things are going slowly but safe.

We have a couple around my city, mainly Lamassu machines but theres hardly a time when all machines are working if any.

I think we still also have a Robocoin machine here too but with all the verification needed like photo and palm print scan  i would be to paranoid to walk in front of the machine let alone use it.

Yeah I  actually have 2 bitcoin ATM’s in my town and they both work great. The fees are a bit high and I would rather just go to an exchange and get money like that, but there are working ATM’s across the globe.
