Yesterday as casually passed a significant event - we finally broke the record capitalization of 2013! And, today, a few times this record was updated a little it reached the 10 million! Smiley I recall - the previous record was in December 2013 and amounted to 6.7 million dollars!!!

Thanks for noticing Alex!  We are making bold gains and we will continue to as we work towards our goals.

I don't like to make price predictions because the market is a finicky beast, but that sounds reasonable.  One of the things I really like about the price bumps are all of the new people I get to talk to.

Welcome everyone, and make sure to check out the weekly updates!

I don't know, have you noticed, but Vircurex has been trading TRC since looong time ago  and never done any upgrades so I am NOTsurprised over this:

2018-01-05: Hanging TRC withdrawals credited back NEW

An account audit of the TRC withdrawals of 2017 have identified various withdrawals that did not make it into the blockchain. We have cancelled those withdrawals and credited the funds back into your account.

2018-01-02: TRC wallet online again
Terracoin wallet is online again, we have received various inquiries about failed withdrawals in the past weeks. We are performing an audit on all wallet transactions and will credit back TRC funds into your account if the withdrawal did not make it into the blockchain.

Let's see what is their next move.

Vircurex decided to do us all a great gift for the New Year, when they updated the wallet and decided to return unsuccessful withdrawals. It is difficult to judge how global their goal, but about the seriousness of their intentions is the fact that in my case it was returned 10 000TRC unsuccessfully sent in September 2016 and at the current rate it's quite a decent amount! It blew my mind when John mentioned they had updated their wallet.  Good to know they returned missing TRC. 10,000 is no joke at this price!  I'll edit the OP.

Stacking reward?  We aren't POS so if I understand your question there isn't a stacking reward.

To keep the rewards fair the block reward split is 45% miners/45% masternodes/10% decentralized governance.

Looks like the ROI is about 27% right now, which obviously doesn't include price growth.  You can check in depth real time stats here: https://masternode.terracoin.io/stats.php

Our goal is to be long term, stable and guided by decentralized governance, not just a quick buck flash in the pan coin.

You should check out the white paper and the weekly update with The Terracoin Foundations vision.

We use Trello for our real time roadmap: https://trello.com/b/3RJU8m6t/terracoin

We have 4 people on the team.  I am the only one who is currently anonymous though that is going to be changing soon.

You shouldn't need a new PC, but you will need a VPS.

The easiest way to set up a masternode is with this guide/script: https://github.com/u3mur4/terracoin

Hope that helps!

Hi all,

I'm new to the TRC community, and recently set up a masternode on a VPS. It has been enabled for 1 day 8 hours now, and I haven't had any payments trickle in yet. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for the response, and clockuniverse, thanks for all of the great work you and the team have been doing, and I'm glad you're on the mend.

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for the response, and clockuniverse, thanks for all of the great work you and the team have been doing, and I'm glad you're on the mend.

Thanks for the support everyone!  We just got to keep chugging along, improving and spreading the word!

As for when you get the first reward it takes about double the normal amount of time as the other masternodes have to accept your masternode into the network.  Normally it is around 1 reward of 4.5 TRC a day so the first one is around every 2 days.  Here is a link to the stat page.....Wait.  I take that back.  A bunch of new masternodes came online in the past couple of days.  It looks like the average reward time is every 1.18 days now.  So the first reward should be around ever 2.36 days.  https://masternode.terracoin.io/stats.php

This is why a reliable hosting server is so important.  I currently have most of my masternodes on Woot, but they go down about once a week so I have to get back in line when that happens.  If you are using Woot I recommend switching.

Vultr is the best that I have found.  I was trying to save some money with Woot, but in the long run I probably lost money because of lost rewards and amount of work I have done.
