eGift cards are not going to work because the lender is not going to be able to confirm that the code is valid without first redeeming the code.

Not to argue at all sir, but you can check the codes very easily without redeeming them, on websites and phone numbers. Thats how cardpool and the other sites buy them also. You definetly can check them .

That may or may not be true, however there would be nothing to stop the borrower from being able to redeem the codes prior to him repaying the loan

Sweet that is the same post got me in trouble for offering gold and I read  digital goods, which an egift card is, but that is why I said the popular opinion means more than the written word, because of that post right there. I do appreciate your answering though  for sure.

Why can't you sell the egift card instead of asking for the loan? That's different that you can't get a buyer easily on forums but you can sell them on websites like cardpool and so on. You yourself have mentioned the same that cardpool buys them and doesn't lend you money.

It will never work as the code can easily be used by the user himself and scam the lender. Egift cards also can be hacked or bought via stolen credit cards and hence nobody would accept them as a collateral. Not even the website itself.

okay, thats why I asked. I jsut saw the sticky and searched it and saw a few posts where others offered it but I didnt wanna get scam points for offering .  Oh yeah and you lose more money selling than would as collateral , and then still could give it to my "wife'....

You figured that out all on your own, Applause.... I find it funny how anytime you respond to something or post something to stick up for yourself or say how you feel bout some BS some other veteran member did to you or respond to some other flame comments your called a crybaby by that person. I figure you must not have a intelligent response. Your correct in saying that I should have / could have read more and figured out how things worked better before posting for a loan, 100% agree with you because you are right. i did not understand the amount of scamming and paranoia etc... inside the community. Probably due to the lax rules at this forum, last forum I was involved with similar to this no double accounts, recorded IP adresses, mess up once and your done for good along with reporting to other forums of the same type. So I figured this ran along those same principals. But back to the part where you made those valid points about me and I said I agree cuz you were right, well look how many different things you followed me around on here, told me I left wrong type collateral etc , yeah I get it and you were right there but my point was I did have it , and showed it cuz you said do it in the daylight....
