does anyone knows if it's possible to compile cgminer with asic support ?

i want to install it on ubuntu 12.04 server x86 so as soon i get mine i can plug it and run it Smiley

Well depends on which ASIC you are speaking of I suppose... 

From what I've read about Avalon's devices they planned to have their own version of cgminer built in?  I'm unsure what became of that as I don't follow them closely but the official cgminer devs were not involved last I saw.  Hopefully someone else can give better details here.

As for BFL, they stated they plan to send development devices to the cgminer guys but I do not believe that has happened yet and it's hard to say when it will happen.  I imagine they'll need those devices before releasing code to support them.  Also it looks like the device api is still being sorted out on BFL's end so that will likely need to have some sort of freeze before the cgminer guys would want to release anything supporting it.
